I am mailing this problem on behalf of a friend who is trying to install
NetBSD-0.9 on a 486 machine. I would appreciate it if you could offer
some suggestions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardware:

	Seagate ST3550N SCSI-2 Disk drive
		891574 sectors
		2128 cylinders
		5 heads, 512 byte sectors

	Trident 1mb SVGA card

	Adaptec AHA-1542C SCSI adapter

Problem:

The boot disk works as described in the install notes.

During the install however, by responding `y' to the
question about `verbose installation', I get the following message:

		bin/cat
		panic:blkfree:frag
		syncing disks 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4

The error messages vary but usually there is a `panic'; also, the
message `out of space' has been very common.
