I'll 8th or 9th this sentiment. The Unix directory tree is too
complicated. Traditional paths are getting larger, and consolidation
is a must.

Remember, Boston was once a compact, logically laid out village.

PrePS: BTW here's a blanket thanks to all of those who have made my
life easier. I am running version 0.9 on a 386-40 4M ram, 2 IDE
drives; and I have yet to actually crash. Yum, Yum.
