Jan: I'm not directing this at you, but at the NetBSD community.

If NetBSD wants more more at BSDCan, there is a simple solution:
submit a proposal. Give a talk. Be active. Do something.

We accepted *ALL* the NetBSD proposals we received.

We would love to have more NetBSD talks but we received just one
proposal. The cynical would conclude that people are simply not
interested in talking about NetBSD. I can't force people to give
talks. :)

I suggest that NetBSD needs to start thinking NOW about BSDCan 2007.
If you want BSDCan to have more NetBSD content, start within the
NetBSD project. People are DEFINITELY doing interesting work on
NetBSD. Urge them to talk about it. Prod them to do something and
submit a proposal to BSDCan. That is the *only* way to get more
focus on NetBSD at BSDCan.

It's not too late for BSDCan 2006. Historically, there is a
cancellation or two as speakers are unable to attend. It's not too
late. Send in a proposal. If it's accepted, we'll put you on
reserve. That means you are expected to turn up at BSDCan and be
prepared to give the talk at short notice. In return, you'll get
free entry to BSDCan regardless of whether or not you are asked to
speak.

I'm happy to provide any help I can. But it's got to start within
NetBSD. :)

You won't be! I know David Maxwell will be there. As well others.
Lots of people come up from Toronto too.

Definitely! There is room for a BoF. And the Work in Progress
session is wide open. Just apply! Let us know.

cheers
