BTW, would this adapt properly to lower resolutions such as 800 and 640
pixels width?  The later is still used by most recent pocket PCs, for
instance...  Of course, this means that the side bars would also need to
be able to shrink a bit as necessary if there is to remain space for any
center text area (despite the center area also dynamically resizing).
If the side bars width can't shrink, perhaps that using a smaller font
for them and having them be a little smaller might help for 640 pixels
width...

It was hard to see with a gif image, since the image width this time
exceeded 800 pixels (last one did fit in it though).
