Out of curiousity, what's wrong with FireWire? It used to work at least
a little (I've used a FireWire drive on my ThinkPad, once), and the dmesg
output I've seen for the Mini under -current mentions it... But currently,
although I've got the ieee1394 code enabled on my ThinkPad, I can't make it
see devices.
