It occurs to me that my expectations might have been so high 
partly because I submitted a design that wasn't chosen.  I wasn't (very) 
disappointed at losing, but after so many months of waiting I expected a 
superuberlogo that put all other logos to shame!

      For what it's worth, here's an article about my logo design that I 
never published in case I won.  Does anyone else have a similar story 
about qualities of NetBSD that influenced their designs?
