Having threads and SMP was a longstanding goal for the 2.0 release, and
we've finally readed it. Thus, the next release shalt be called 2.0.

As far as I understand, the future plan is to name major releases (what
used to be 1.5, 1.6, ...) X.0, and patch releases (what used to be 1.X.1,
1.X.2, ...) X.1, X.2, etc.
