Good day,
I've just read some article on Linux
(http://www.newsforge.com/os/03/10/21/1730244.shtml?tid=2&tid=82&tid=94)
that mentioned Linux supports more architectures than any other OS. I was
wondering, so I checked how many processor families are supported by
NetBSD 1.6.1 and NetBSD -current, and how many by Linux 2.4.22 and
2.6-test8.
Is it true that while 1.6.1 and -current knows only 13 and 15 families,
2.4.22 and 2.6-test8 is ported to 18 and 20?
I am still wondering. Is Linux the most portable operating system on
earth?
Best wishes,
Gabor Nyeki.
