Not necessarily.  Being `BSD' does not necessarily being USL-free.  In
particular, it was agreed as part of the USL/UCB settlement that
versions of BSD prior to 4.4Lite _do_ in fact contain USL code, and that
code based on certain files in those distributions _is_ in violation of
USL's copyrights.

Likewise, _plenty_ of commercial Unices have brought in parts of other
source bases at different times, mainly to bring in bullet-point
features.
