Their grand plan for Windows XP next year is to tie the filesystem to a
mini version of SQL server. Supposedly, this will make it easier to keep
track of documents. The effect will be that UNIX systems running samba
protocol servers won't be able to access the files on XP server. They will
do anything to keep their proprietary OS as closed as possible.

And meanwhile the failure of wehavethewayout.com on Windows 2K is splashed
across all the online tech mags. :-)
