    i wanted to remind everyone that the deadline for submissions
for the FREENIX track of USENIX is coming up: November 12, 2001.

    you may submit either a complete paper, or a 2-5 page extended 
abstract or summary of your work to date.

    submitting your work to freenix is a great way of promoting it
work and getting useful feedback from the world.   it also provides
visibility and useful exposure for projects like NetBSD!

    the FREENIX call for papers and directions on how to submit your
