I know, from seeing it done in connection with boats, that Land`s End
will embroider a design on anything they sell (well maybe not shoes, but
you know what I mean). I suspect there is a size limit for the design,
but I understand that the cost is not too bad (about $6 in addition to
the cost of the item) and their stuff is pretty high quality. Once they
have the design, anyone can order the stuff. No profit for TNF, but if
you want a specific thing, you can get it.
