Generally in the past I've just sent them something that basicly says:

This software runs on <a href="http://www.netbsd.org/">NetBSD</a> with a easy
to install package at <a href="(link to it's README.HTML)">foo</a>

Most people have been very open to this..  I think the battallion author used
something similar to this in his link to us..
