You need to bring the system up in singleuser mode and turn off ttye0.
tty00 is the modem port, tty01 is the printer port. There's a file on
cray-ymp that details the IIsi stuff more explicity. As far as the
debugger is concerned, I posted about it a few days back, but we
haven't been able to come up with a reason for it...
