Does anybody have any idea why adbinit() would timeout? This prevents me
from using the keyboard and/or mouse...which is kind of makes doing
interesting things difficult.

I have an apple extended keyboard an the regular garden variety mouse.

BTW, if I have my 3-button mouse hooked up, I get a nice crash right at
the start of initialization. No gray bars or nothing. Just a bunch of
vertical black lines in regular intervals across the screen.
