First off - a BIG thank you to Allen, Brad & Co for the work they are doing
w/ MacBSD. I've been waiting years (literally), to have my very own UNIX sys.

I am currently running BETA-0 on a IIci w/ 16m ram, 20m swap. I recently
upgraded my bank A ram from 4m to 16m and it made a wonderfully impressive
difference :)

Reading net news recently, I came upon the following statement:

: >If I can have a graphic environment (X11) with BSD on Mac or Amiga,
: >it may be OK.

: But you can. X11R6 has been run on a NetBSD/Mac machine.

I have been off the listserv for the past month or two - so forgive me if this
is old news - but does anyone have the info on what's req'd to get X11 up and
running? Is it a straight forward compile of source from MIT or am I getting
my hopes up without cause? Any info appreciated...

PS: I have a spare Apple 8-24GC graphics card I'd be willing to
donate if anyone on the Alice team would like to investigate supporting it.
It's a wonderful 24bit accelerated card, but unfortunately MacBSD freezes
after about 7 grey bars when it's in place.
