We're not reverse engineering the ROMs. That might work, but is in a
legal gray area, and it'd be difficult to know exactly how things really
work... Basically, there are two approaches... The first is to use the
documentation that does exist in "Guide to the Macintosh Family
Hardware" or developer notes. This is usually geared toward someone
wanting to build hardware or whatever--not enough to actually do
anything without a lot of experimentation. The other, usually
complimentary approach is to find the actual hardware manuals--like
the SCSI documentation from NCR or AMD, or the serial info from AMD or
Zilog... That and a lot of toying around.
