Mode32 enables older (pre-IIcx) Macs that do not have 32-bit clean ROMs to
run in 32-bit mode.  It does this by patching several (many?) of the ROM
resources.  Without it, you can't boot one of these old Macs with 32-bit
addressing turned on.
