Re: sem_init: pshared=0 difference between Linux and NetBSD
Hello. The differences between the NetBSD and linux pshared flag wouldn't seem to affect
the specific locking bug. The fact that a semafor is shared among processes when the creator
doesn't request it doesn't seem like it should affect the behavior of the caller, since the
caller will use the semafor according to what they requested when the semafor was created. Did
the folks debugging the locking problem decide the NetBSD implementation affected the bug in
question or is this just an observation that was made during the debugging process?
