i have some patches for texinfo that fix this properly i think, but
need to find time to make sure they're right.

i don't think any of these are real problems, so either of:

>  * simply cast all handler functions in this array; or
>  * add -Wno-incompatible-pointer-types to CFLAGS.

is probably the best idea until i'm finished.  (i think i started
this because GCC 15 also triggers this as an error.)
