RE: About IBM-M keyboard



Since PS/2 is not designed for hot-plugging, is there risk of damaging the keyboard or system in this way?

PS/2 keyboards cause no "plug in" event, so the kernel does not notice there is a new device connected.

You may be able to get it working later via some magic drvctl(8) invocation.
