this is probably the recently discussed intel driver issues.
i've added a build option to use the older driver.

can you try build with INTEL_DRIVER_DATE=2014.  jmake sure you
clean src/external/mit/xorg/server/drivers/xf86-video-intel or
the build likely won't be right.  don't forget to upate both
src and xsrc..

others who have had recent failures could also try -- and if
you're adventurous, testing working systems as well.  we will
probably decide the default (new or old KMS default) depending
on feedback.
