Finally found it:

# ldd /usr/pkg/bin/gawk
/usr/pkg/bin/gawk:
        -lintl.1 => /usr/lib/libintl.so.1
        -lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12
        -lreadline.7 => /usr/pkg/lib/libreadline.so.7
        -lterminfo.1 => /usr/lib/libterminfo.so.1
        -lmpfr.4 => not found
        -lgmp.10 => /usr/pkg/lib/libgmp.so.10
        -lm.0 => /usr/lib/libm.so.0

src xz's configure is picking up gawk. Surprised given build.sh tools...

make replace in /usr/pkgsrc/lang/gawk fixed things, but is that The Right Way?

Cheers,

Patrick
