Re: Audio Mixer problems

Yes, I use headphones and no, outputs.master2 do not work either, in fact no other mixerctl configuration have any impact to the volume, only "inputs.dac". Can any one paste his "mixerctl -a" output here? I am pretty sure, that "inputs.dac" in my output refers to the mixer index 0 and in kernel it is "outputs.master", but for some reason the mixer with index 0 and with index 1 switch his names if it comes to userland and some tools use that. I have this problem for years now, it would be nice to fix it somehow :-)

    Hi!

    I have a issue with my audio mixer for long time now (may be 5
    years or so now), the audio volume changes only if I change
    "inputs.dac" and if I change "outputs.master" nothing changes. I
    think the "inputs.dac" and "outputs.master" are switched some how.

Are you using headphones? Try outputs.master2 ?

    For me personally the mixer name is not important, but several
    applications changing the outputs.master volume with build-in
    buttons and it is very annoying. Maybe somebody has any idea how
    to fix that?

    $ mixerctl -a
