Re: Crash in xhci driver

Well, I've been running a 7.99.33 kernel (sources dated 2016-07-04 at 08:34:20 UTC) for two weeks now without any further crashes. Maybe the problem is fixed? Or maybe is has just gone into hiding, lurking, waiting to reappear?

:)

Can you add these kernel options:

options DIAGNOSTIC
options USB_DEBUG
options XHCI_DEBUG

I am starting a rebuild now. I will be able to install the new kernel tomorrow.

and, set this sysctl?

hw.xhci.debug=14

Sure - I'll add it to my /etc/sysctl.conf file

however, I have no idea to see the logs without kbd.

Will the info be kept in a crash dump? I am modifying my set-up to just dump, instead of stopping in ddb.

I think you can read - "vmstat -u usbhist -M core", but I've not tried that.

cheers,
