I don't have a native system available.  However, it does NOT fail when 
running the -current test-suite on my 6.99.5 host:

# uname -a
NetBSD screamer.whooppee.com 6.99.5 NetBSD 6.99.5 (WHOOPPEE (shared) 2012-04-21

runs to normal completion with no time-out every time (30 out of 30 
runs).
