Curiouser and curiouser.
I have updated to 5.99.55, this time with builtin X, run X -configure
to get a new xorg.conf file, nuked pkgsrc and rebuilt firefox without
modular xorg, and moved aside .mozilla to test with a fresh firefox
config and the issue still happens for me...
