That's what happens when you call strlen(NULL)...

That may be, but then I would expect it to behave the same on 5.1_RC3
as well.  It runs without any problem on 5.1_RC3.  Clients connect and
disconnect without it crashing.  ircservices connects to it and operates
without problems.

I'm still trying to figure out how to attach gdb to the running process
and have debugging symbols so I can step through a sample and see just
what's being passed in...
