Intel GMA 4500HD and X11 not working

Hi!

I already tried on the tech-x11 mailing list, but got no answer. Maybe I get
an answer or an hint here...

I tried NetBSD current (because I need the iwn capabilities for 5100) on my
Lenovo SL300.

First try was just normal start of netbsd. Kernel detects vga and loads
i915drm. When I start X screen gets black and never comes back. All I can do
is restart the notebook.

Xorg.0.log is found on http://pastebin.ca/1740863

Next try was with "vesa enabled". Kernel does not detect vga, but used genfb
without drm. When I start X, I have a screen and can use it, at least for some
basic stuff. I tried to start kdm (4.3) with this, what works, but when I
logon the splash screen of KDE starts and after the last icon appeared, screen
turns black as it was on the first try. Just reboot possible...

At least I can blindly switch to a console and do a clean "shutdown -r now"

Xorg.0.log for startx on vesa is here: http://pastebin.ca/1740870
and Xorg.0.log with kdm on vesa is here: http://pastebin.ca/1740872

In the meantime I removed the Xorg coming with NetBSD and installed modular
Xorg from pkgsrc, with same results...

What can I do? Would love to give NetBSD a try as my os, but I need X11...

Bye...Frank
