problem with switching from graphical to text console

Hi,

I'm running 5.99.22 with XOrg on a i945GM chipset. X11 is started on
the 5th console (ttyE4). Whenever I press CTRL-ALT-Fx to switch to a
text console and then back to X11 the screen stays black. My only chance
is then to kill and restart XOrg.

The problem can be reproduced with a simple startx and twm, and I remember
it was the same with 5.0 (maybe since switching to XOrg?).

I have no such problem with a i845G/GL chipset running 5.0.1.

Any ideas? Should I file a PR?
