savecore cannot retrieve data from compressed kernel

I got this message since I started to compress my kernels:

Feb 16 20:31:20 core savecore: /netbsd.gz: kvm_nlist: bad namelist
Feb 16 20:31:20 core savecore: /netbsd.gz: _dumpdev not in namelist

Is this an error?
