Wasn't graceful handling of disks going away (not crashing your whole
system) a big part of puffs/rump?

I think "Following disk re-attachment, the virtual block device
replays its list of outstanding commands." is a great enhancement,
though.  It also opens the door to all kinds of cool remembering
tricks (regular mount points for different flash drives, etc).
