I've tested this on two current systems (amd64 domu) with the same results.

I made the mistake of not testing ldap, but testing everything else. I have a
dev ldap server which I've updated in the interim to service postfix across a
vpn :S ... so if anyone can help me, I'd be greatly appreciated.

The system is currently doing nothing so I can hit it as hard an anyone likes
:)
