My wireless network connection disappears

Hi,

Recently, my wireless network connection will go down occasionally (seemingly
at random). When it happens, ifconfig iwi0 reports:

iwi0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        ssid "" nwkey *****
        powersave off
        address: 00:0e:35:38:b0:33
        media: IEEE802.11 autoselect
        status: no network
        inet 192.168.2.5 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255
        inet6 fe80::20e:35ff:fe38:b033%iwi0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2

Doing the ifconfig iwi0 down / up dance will restore the connection:

iwi0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        ssid fesk nwkey *****
        powersave off
        bssid 00:12:17:60:ba:43 chan 6
        address: 00:0e:35:38:b0:33
        media: IEEE802.11 autoselect (OFDM36)
        status: active
        inet 192.168.2.5 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255
        inet6 fe80::20e:35ff:fe38:b033%iwi0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2

I cannot be certain of the dates but it seems like it started happening with
current within the last 30 days. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm
asking because I realize, of course, that the problem could be external.

This is a Thinkpad T42 with i386 current and I'm using wpa_suppliant.

Thanks,
Sverre
