On a system build from current in December last year I tried using
gcov.
marko@fjpad% gcc -fprofile-arcs -ftest-coverage gcov-test.c
ld: cannot find -lgcov
marko@fjpad% locate libgcov
/usr/src/gnu/dist/gcc4/gcc/libgcov.c
Apparently, I have no compiled version of this on the system. Is there
a compelling reason for this? Or is this easily fixed?
Any hint will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Marko
