I am pretty sure my machine is not ECC (Intel 915 mobo).  Perhaps I
should have sprung for a server-grade motherboard.
But, I have found that most machines without ECC do not have issues,
so while I am a fan of ECC, I think the real issue in my case is flaky
memory.
