This machine has a dual-core CPU.  I tend to blame SMP for weird problems.
;-)  Could be wrong, though.

Anyway, the USB problems are annoying as you never know when then system
will die - I should get another NetBSD box just for accessing USB devices
to keep the main system running. :-I
