While compiling pkgsrc bits, in the nas package, bash went insane:

  PID USERNAME PRI NICE   SIZE   RES STATE      TIME   WCPU    CPU COMMAND
29861 root      62    0  1032K  216K CPU/1     53:51 99.02% 99.02% bash

I tried kill, which did nothing.  Kill -9 brought the machine down.

That's not terribly useful information I know, but I didn't get a core
or a traceback since the machine is headless currently, and swap is too
small.  :/
