I think there is evidence for both. I use LFS on NetBSD 3.0_RC5 and it is
stable. But when I updated to 3_STABLE, LFS crashed soon and corrupted the
filesystem in such a way that fsck_lfs dumped core. The unreliability of
fsck_lfs is a strong argument against it, I think.
