Thanks for the info Dave. I can make some sense of

but in the context of PXE, I'm a bit lost. Is there any additional
doc or clues for a discussion thread I can look for?

If I'm preparing a pxe_*_com0.bin I would say "installboot -o
console=com0" on what filesystem and primary? If this is the right
technique, why isn't it in the binary sets anymore?
