hi list,

finally i got myself a 20" LC Display and tried to run it at 1600x1200 
the last two days on my NetBSD machine with Matrox G400 (which features 
a DVI connector as well as a Y cable to connect two displays via the 
old, analogue VGA connector alternatively).

the display is okay as it runs fine on my Power Mac (Radeon 9000 Pro, 
connected via DVI, as well as connected via VGA connector).

i tried to force the G400 to 60Hz via Modeline(s) generated with gtf(1), 
but had no success. this was tried with the vanilla XFree 4.5.0.

i also tried x.org from pkgsrc, same phenomenon.

the display always says 'Out of Sync' for both DVI and VGA connectors.

has anyone running a 20"/21" LCD (1600x1200) and is willing to share 
some hints and/or the appropriate lines in XF86Config? :)
