Hi,

I have an x86 system with a big disk which 2 sparc 20s and 1 Ultra 2 netboot
from. Both the x86 and the sparc 20s run current from the 03 December
tar file snapshots. The Ultra 2 runs FreeBSD 6.0.

Today when I finished my weekly CD backup written on the x86,
I mounted the CD on the same drive on the x86. This was
the first CD I'd mounted since I upgraded this past Monday or so.

As soon as I mounted the CD both the sparc20s hung. The Ultra and the
x86 continued on as if nothing happend.

Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this? It's not a
crisis for me right now since I can always mount the cd on the ultra,
but, in the past I've been able to mount a CD without hanging the netbooted
systems.

In addition, I found it odd that the 20s hung, but the ultra kept running.
Other than OSes (and architectures) they are identical in their netboot
setups.

Thanks!

cheers

bruce
