At least for kern/29660, I was able to get vlans to work.

I just moved 4 GB at 16.9 MBytes/sec over scp on a gigabit
crossover between bge0 on a GX280 and wm0 on a GX260 using a vlan as
described in kern/29660. I haven't tried NAT yet, but maybe I will have
time to mess with that later in the week.
