Hi list!

Since i updated my -current a week or so ago, i have two problems with
the ath(4) driver which i use for a Linksys WPC55AG cardbus card. First,
it fills my dmesg-log with these two messages:

Aug 5 17:27:56 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:29:04 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:29:04 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:30:58 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:30:58 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:05 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:05 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:11 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:11 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:13 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:13 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:23 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:23 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:30 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:30 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:43 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:43 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:47 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:47 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:31:51 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:31:51 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP
Aug 5 17:32:07 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to DOWN
Aug 5 17:32:07 lotophag /netbsd: ath0: link state changed to UP

As you can see, this happens several times every minute.

Second, after the device is 15 min to over an hour up, it suddenly loses
the connection to the AP. The device never recovers from this loss, and
i have to pull the card out of the slot and reinsert it again and going
through the ifconfig + route add default procedure every time.

I had this problems never with 2.0.2 and with -current until i updated
about a week or so ago. I also updated today, but the problem persists.
I also had this problem with the madwifi driver for linux and this
problem was the reason why i changed to netbsd in the first place.

Regards,
Martin
