All right, I suspected that because a) i observed very similar behaviour when I
had dhcpd in the network which gave away ip addresses and b) dhcp request is a 
broadcast one and in case of respond with different ip you won't see expected
hostname on a wire (tcpdump host zzzz).

I doubt ofwboot should react on <Stop-A>.

I'd suggest building ofwboot with -DDEBUG and go from there.
