Hi,

it's been a few days I'm running netbsd-3 kernel over a 2_STABLE
userland with no trouble. Now I've just succeeded in compiling the whole
netbsd-3 userland and did the "./build.sh ... install=3D/". X didn't
compile with the build process, so I compiled the whole userland (minus
X) with build.sh and X from /usr/xsrc (make build && make install).

when I use my non-root account, no Xterm start any more :(
firefox, windowmaker are OK though.
Xterm starts fine when I startx as root.
same issue if I log to X from xdm.

I've already done a "sh MAKEDEV all" and "sh MAKEDEV pty0" but it didn't
solve anything. Binary rights look good (I think) :
-rws--x--x  1 root  wheel  1.8M Apr 16 23:45 /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86
-rws--x--x  1 root  wheel  240K Apr 16 23:45 /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm

my kernel conf the one from netbsd-2 which worked ok with netbsd-3
kernel and netbsd-2 userland.

any one guess what's happening ?

TIA,
	Jo
