current-users: devices in /dev

Hi.

I am building a small NetBSD version for embedded devices.
As for now I cannot pass
booting hd0a:netbsd.gz
1582312+294116+165776 [130912+116134]=0x2301d0

I was wondering if /sbin/init creates all the reqired devices in /dev on the fly or if i need to manually create them with MAKEDEV ?

I am running netbsd current.
