-Os runs through on i386/2.0_BETA, w/-fomit-frame-pointer it gets=20
kicked (pls see one of my former postings).

anyway, same CVS version builds fine on my macppc/2.0H (Power Mac G4)=20
*WITH* optimizations (pipe, O2, mcpu 740)...
