Indeed, and few of us are vm experts. Perhaps it would be valuable if there
was a set of examples for typical usages made by some of the experts. By
this I mean a set of sysctl.conf examples containing the vm.* things for, say
interactive usage, server usage, etc.

I guess the most people just want a single knob which says "Go faster". :)
