Hi *,

are there an experinces with the TYAN K8S board an the onboard IDE
controller wrt/ interface CRC errors?

I do get those very reliably in conjunktion with Hitachi drives.
Changing changing cables didn't help at all. Only
drives attached to the onboard chip are affected.
The same drive type connected to a add on Promise controller works
reliably.

Could it be the board, cable, driver, powersupply (just to name a few) ?
The trouble seems to stick with the controller as changing drives didn't
have any effect.

It happens after some time and then communication is downgraded to PIO
mode 4 with the correcponding performance 8-(.
